This 17th century Ming dynasty ceramic plate originally came from Fujian province, China. It was likely ordered by the Sultans of Muslim <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aceh" class="extiw" title="en:Aceh">Aceh</a> in North-West Indonesia since they bear cursive Arabic script including invocations to Allah. This object was a gift to the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_of_Anthropology_at_UBC" class="extiw" title="en:Museum of Anthropology at UBC">UBC Museum of Anthropology</a> in Vancouver, Canada, by the Ismaili Muslim Community.
