Summary

Devil's Throne, a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sill_(geology)" class="extiw" title="en:Sill (geology)">sill</a> of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andesite" class="extiw" title="en:Andesite">andesite</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porphyry" class="extiw" title="en:Porphyry">porphyry</a> in the Cerrillos Hills of New Mexico, USA. Although now near vertical, the andesite intrusion is concordant (parallel) with the layers of sedimentary rock into which it was intruded, and both have been tilted later.
