Summary

Skull remains of 3 different genera of the theropod dinosaur group Therizinosauroidea. To the left a skull of <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Falcaruis&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Falcaruis (page does not exist)">Falcaruis</a>, found in <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Utah" title="Utah">Utah</a>, <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/USA" class="mw-redirect" title="USA">USA</a>. Known from many skeletons, dated to the early <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aptian&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Aptian (page does not exist)">Aptian</a> (<a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cretaceous" class="mw-redirect" title="Cretaceous">Cretaceous</a>, 125 MYA (see <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://web.utah.edu/news/news_images_2005/may/teeth_jaws.jpg">[2]</a> and <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://2-0.dinosaurier.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/falcarius_skelett.jpg">[3]</a> for the original source). At the right side is the skull of <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Erlikosaurus&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Erlikosaurus (page does not exist)">Erlikosaurus</a>, so far one of the best preserved skulls of any Therizinosaur. This animal is believed to walked the ground of <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mongolia" class="mw-redirect" title="Mongolia">Mongolia</a> in the <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Turonian&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Turonian (page does not exist)">Turonian</a>-stage, 90 MYA in the <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cretaceous" class="mw-redirect" title="Cretaceous">Cretaceous</a> (see <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://www.gly.bris.ac.uk/admissions/PhDprojects/therizino.jpg">[4]</a>, <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_6fVePgcYTJc/Sdt_XWd-9YI/AAAAAAAAB1g/_vLFvJ0fy1o/s400/Therizinosauria+skulls.jpg">[5]</a>, <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://www.dinoweb.narod.ru/erlikosaurus3.gif">[6]</a> and <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/9343/erlikocraneqb8.gif">[7]</a> for the original sources).
