Summary

Plate, 1st to the 4th century A.D., silver. Part of the Treasure find. The silver vessels and the bracelet were found together with 274 coins in the rubble after the bombing of Vienna's inner city in 1945. The casserole, most especially, with the gold inlaid inscription MERCVRIO, indicates that the vessels belonged to a temple inventory. There, they could ahve been used for mixing and pouring libation.
