Haʾil Region (Arabic: حائل Ḥāʾil) is a region of Saudi Arabia, located in the north of the country. It has an area of 103,887 km² and a population of 527,033 (2004) census). Its capital is Haʾil. It is subdivided into four governorates: (with population):
- Ha'il 412,758
- Al-Ghazalah 102,588
- Ash-Shinan 41,641
- Baqa 40,157

History and governance
In 1921, King Abdulaziz was able to capture Hail.[1] The province was completely control by Al Sauds in 1922.[2]
The region's current governor is Prince Saud bin Abdul Muhsin.[3] Muqrin bin Abdulaziz was the former governor of Ha'il Province from 1980 to 1999.
