Jonás Cuarón is a Mexican film director, screenwriter, producer, editor and cinematographer.[1] He is the son of the Academy Award-winner Alfonso Cuarón.[2] He studied film at Vassar College.
His first feature film, Año uña which he directed, wrote and produced, was released in 2007. He also co-wrote the highly acclaimed 2013 film Gravity. The film was co-written and directed by his father.[1]
His uncle Carlos Cuarón is also a writer and director. His first film credit are cameo as a child in Sólo Con Tu Pareja directed by his father, in 1991.

Awards
At the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, Cuarón's film Desierto won the Prize of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) for Special Presentations.[4]
