Shelby Reds

The Shelby Reds, based in Shelby, North Carolina, were a minor league baseball team that played from 1977 to 1978 in the Western Carolinas League. They were affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds.
In their first year of existence, 1977, they were managed by Jim Lett. He led them to a 60–79 record, finishing fifth in the league. Under manager Lett's guidance in 1978, they went 75–64, finishing second in the league.[1][2]
