Each team may register a squad of 23 players (three of whom must be goalkeepers).[3]

First stage

The draw was held on September 29, 2014.[4] Each group contains one team from each of the five "pairing pots": Argentina–Brazil, Paraguay–Uruguay, Colombia–Ecuador, Chile–Peru, Bolivia–Venezuela.

The top three teams in each group qualified for the final stage.

When teams finished level of points, the final order was determined according to:[3]

  1. superior goal difference in all matches
  2. greater number of goals scored in all group matches
  3. better result in matches between the tied teams
  4. drawing of lots

All match times are in local Uruguay Summer Time (UTC−02:00).
