The 3d Air Support Operations Squadron (3 ASOS) is a combat support unit of the United States Air Force, located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

Mission

The 3 ASOS trains, equips, and deploys mission-ready Airborne qualified Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) members, Air Liaison Officers, Joint Terminal Attack Controllers, and Air Mobility Liaison Officers in support of the commanders of United States Army Alaska (USARAK), 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

Detachment 1, 3 ASOS, trains, equips, and deploys mission-ready Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) members, Air Liaison Officers, Joint Terminal Attack Controllers, and Air Mobility Liaison Officers in support of the commanders of United States Army Alaska (USARAK), 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), 25th Infantry Division, at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.[2]
