500 Degreez is the third studio album by American rapper Lil Wayne. It was released on July 23, 2002, by Cash Money Records. The album's title was inspired by the album 400 Degreez (1998), by a fellow rapper Juvenile (who he also was in the label from the Cash Money Records).
The album debuted at number 6 on the US Billboard 200, selling 103,000 copies in the first week. On September 3, 2002, the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2011, the album has sold 584,179 copies in the United States.[9]
