ASTV (Afrikaanse Satelliet Televisie) is an Afrikaans South African television channel, which is privately owned. The station is based at Rustenburg in South Africa and was launched on the TopTV satellite service in October 2010, to serve as a local and community Afrikaans TV channel with Christian values.[1]
From 1 January 2012 ASTV launched a new look with a new logo and slogan.[2] The channel also started to upload full length episodes of popular programs on their Vimeo page.[3]

ASTV also broadcasts local Afrikaans music videos and documentaries. The company producing the channel also produce TV adverts for advertisers and music videos for artists.
