Ambohitantely Reserve or Ambohitantely Special Reserve is a 5,600-hectare (14,000-acre) wildlife reserve of Madagascar.[2]
Geography
The reserve is situated in the region of Analamanga at 140 km (87 mi) north-west of Antananarivo in the district of Ankazobe. It covers 1,800 ha (4,400 acres) of natural forests and 3,800 ha (9,400 acres) of grassland savanna.[2]
Wildlife
Three lemur species are found in the reserve: Microcebus rufus, Avahi laniger, and Eulemur fulvus. Rare birds found in the reserve include the Madagascar harrier and Madagascan ibis.[2] The frog Anodonthyla vallani likely occurs only within the reserve.[3]
