Anastasios Donis (born 29 August 1996) is a Greek footballer who plays for FC Lugano on loan from Juventus.[1] [2]
Career
Despite only playing with Lugano since the beginning of the season, the Greek forward has already written his name in the club's history books, scoring twice on 2 March against FC Luzern to fire his side into the Swiss Cup final for the first time in 23 years. The 19-year old was in unstoppable form on the night, netting coolly through the goalkeeper's legs with barely two minutes on the clock before striking the eventual winner moments after half-time to register his fourth goal in this season's competition.[3] [4] On 25 May 2016, he netted the last goal sealing the victory against St.Gallen in the last matchday of the championship, helping his club to avoid relegation. [5]
On 29 May 2016, despite his solid performance, did not win the Swiss Cup, as they lost 1-0 in the final from the relegated FC Zürich. [6]
International Career
In March 2016 he was member of the Greece U21 squad who played against Israel U21 and Alvania U21.[1]
