And the Anonymous Nobody is the upcoming ninth full-length album by American hip hop group De La Soul, scheduled for release on August 26, 2016 through Rough Trade Records. The group released the tracklist on May 20, 2016.[1]
Background
In early 2015, De La Soul created a Kickstarter in order to funding the album. In under ten hours, it surpassed the projected goal of $110,000. Initially, the group announced April 26, 2016 for the album's release date.[2] Subsequently releasing a new EP titled For Your Pain & Suffering, on April 29, 2016, the group scheduled the release of the album for August 26, 2016.[3]
The first single, "Pain" (featuring Snoop Dogg), is due to be released in summer.
