Antoni Protazy Potocki (11 September 1761 – 1801), aka Prot, was a Polish noble (szlachcic). Knight of the Order of the White Eagle, awarded on May 8, 1781.
Antoni became a banker in Warsaw and was also voivode of Kiev Voivodship in 1791 and starost of Guzów, Żyrardów County.[1]
He was the owner of Chudniv and organized several factories in the village of Makhnivka, near Berdychiv. He directed the Polish Black Sea Trading Company, and ran an import-export business in Russian-ruled Kherson. He inherited from his father big capital. Potocki bankrupted in 1793 in connection to financial crisis.[2]
