Background
Bleecker Street was founded in August 2014 by CEO Andrew Karpen, former Co-CEO of Focus Features.[1][2]
Bleecker Street has an output distribution deal with Shivani Rawat’s ShivHans Pictures, the producer of its first theatrical release Danny Collins, starring Al Pacino, Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner, Bobby Cannavale, and Christopher Plummer, as well as Trumbo, starring Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren and Diane Lane, and future release Captain Fantastic, starring Viggo Mortensen.
Bleecker Street recently acquired the U.S. rights to director Gavin Hood's drone thriller Eye in the Sky, starring Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman and Aaron Paul, Mark Pellington’s dramedy The Last Word, starring Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried,[3] Mick Jackson’s drama Denial, starring Rachel Weisz and Tom Wilkinson,[4] and Sean Ellis’s drama Anthropoid, starring Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan.[5]
