Cássio Gabus Mendes (born August 29, 1961 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian actor.

Biography

He is the son of screenwriter, director, producer, sound designer, stage manager and author of telenovelas, Cassiano Gabus Mendes. He is the brother of actor Tato Gabus Mendes and married to former actress Lídia Brondi since 1990.

Debuted on TV in the novel Elas por Elas, in 1982.[1] participated in the novels Ti Ti Ti,[2][3] Vale Tudo,[4] Tieta[5] and A Indomada,[4] among other. He served in the miniseries Anos Rebeldes,[6] Mulher and O Quinto dos Infernos.[7]

In the film, made Boleiros - Era Uma Vez o Futebol (1998)[8][9] and Boleiros 2 - Vencedores e Vencidos (2006), both from Ugo Giorgetti.[10] He also participated in the cast of Orfeu (1999), the Carlos Diegues,[11] Como Fazer um Filme de Amor (2004), José Roberto Torero,[12][13] and Trair e Coçar é Só Começar (2006), Moacyr Góes,[14] Batismo de Sangue (2007)[15] and Caixa Dois (2007).[16]

Also in 2007, participated in the miniseries Amazônia, de Galvez a Chico Mendes, the role of Chico Mendes,[17] the novelDesejo Proibido[18] and the Special Program of New Year's Rede Globo, Os Amadores.[19]

In late 2008, seven months after the end of Desejo Proibido, he returned to TV in the novel Três Irmãs, the Globo network.[20]

In 2009, the actor is also in theaters with the release of the film Se Eu Fosse Você 2,[21] and participates in the program Norma with Denise Fraga.[22]

Cassio in 2010, part of the series S.O.S. Emergência[23] and As Cariocas, both of Rede Globo[24] and the film Chico Xavier.[25]

In 2011, the actor can be seen on television, in the novel Foolish Heart,Insensato Coração,[4][26][27] and on the big screen in movies Bruna Surfistinha[28] and Assalto ao Banco Central.[29]

In 2012, the miniseries will be Dercy de Verdade, he will live in the miniseries Valdemar, a Loves Dercy[30] and was also in the novel Lado a Lado.[31]
