Kristopher Colt Morton (born April 10, 1982) is a baseball catcher for the independent Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. He attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Early years

While attending high school at The King's Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, Morton lettered in baseball and led the team with a .339 batting average, eight home runs, and 26 RBI as a senior. He was a two-time All-State honoree, a preseason Louisville Slugger/TPX High School All-American, and received an All-American honorable mention from Collegiate Baseball for his efforts.[1]

Professional career

San Diego Padres

On May 8, 2008, Morton singled in Atlanta to record his first Major League hit. On May 9, 2008 he was demoted to Double-A San Antonio.

Seattle Mariners

On June 16, 2009 Morton Was Traded To The Seattle Mariners for future considerations. On December 5, 2009 Morton marries his bride (Amanda Varney) in Wellington, Fl.
