Cricket Scandal is an upcoming Indian film, written and directed by India's first transgender director, Rose Venkatesan.[1] Made simultaneously in English and Tamil, the film is based on match-fixing in world cricket.[2][3][4] The film stars newcomer Kishan with Rose playing the female lead.

Plot

The film will reveal the darker side of the cricket world to people. Rose plays a club dancer in the film and her friendship with Chennai Cricket team’s captain (played by a newcomer Kishan) helps her to know the scandals behind the nation’s biggest game. Meanwhile, Kishan falls in love with Rose and what happens to their relationship will be an interesting climax.

The film was launched on 28 July 2012. As part of the launch function, the crew created the record for the world's biggest cricket bat and biggest cricket ball being recognized by the Tamil Nadu Book of Records.[5] The bat measured 20 ft in length, 2 feet in width and 6 inch in thickness whereas the ball was 3x3 in diameter.

It was planned to release the film before IPL 6 but got delayed.[6] The official trailer was released recently.[7]

The soundtrack album was composed by Deepan. The track '20-20', written and sung by Gaana Bala, was released as a single on 1 August 2013.[8][9] The audio CD was released by director Kalaipuli Sekaran and the first copy received by actor Mansoor Ali Khan.[10]
