Croatia–Turkmenistan relations are foreign relations between Croatia and Turkmenistan. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1996. Both countries are full members of the OSCE and the UN.
History
Diplomatic relations were established on July 2, 1996 signing of a joint communique.[1]
Political relations
Starting an active cooperation between the two countries laid a meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Croatia Stjepan Mesic, held in September 2007 in New York, as part of the 62nd session of the UN General Assembly. Dialogue between the two countries at the highest level was continued during the meeting of the presidents of the two countries in April 2008 in Bucharest, where NATO summit. Official visit of President of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesic in Turkmenistan was held in July 2008. Official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Croatia was held in June 2009. State visit of President of Croatia Ivo Josipovic in Turkmenistan was held in April 2014.[2][3][4][5]
Diplomatic missions
Croatia is represented in Turkmenistan through its embassy in Ankara (Turkey).
Economic relations
Turkmenistan purchased from Croatian company Uljanik two car-passenger ferry, type «Ro-Pax».
