Luis Eduardo Barros Cavalcanti (Arcoverde, July 9, 1981),[1] mostly known as Dado Cavalcanti, is a Brazilian football manager. He is currently Paysandu's manager.

Early life

Dado was born in Arcoverde, a country town of Pernambuco and raised in Caruaru, where he started to play football. At 17, he went to Principal City and joined the Santa Cruz junior team. Praised for his technique, but slow and without force, he tried his luck at Naútico, where he met the Brazilian soccer team's head coach Muricy Ramalho. While training, he received an invitation for an internship at a board-ship of junior team. At age 22, he trained at the junior team of Timbu, there he became the auxiliary coach of the under-20 football team.

Career

Cavalcanti's career as a football manager yielded great results in a short period of time, while he accumulated experience even in his youthful age. He was the youngest manager in Brazil to win a professional football title at only 24 years with Ulbra-RO.

He won state championship two times at Rondônia in 2006 and 2007 seasons respectively. Dado won Brasília State Championship of the Division Three with Brazsat in 2008. Always successful wherever he passed, reaching his goals which he pre-established for the clubs. He took Santa Cruz to the 16-round of Brazil Cup (Copa do Brasil), defeating Botafogo in Engenhão to equal the best place in club competition.

He was elected the best manager of Pernambuco Championship in 2010. He assumed the position at the end of 2010 during the América de Natal in Brazilian Championship Serie B, he stayed with the team until March 2011. In march, he transferred to Central of Caruaru-PE and in April 30 he signed with Icasa to control the club in Serie B. In 2012, he controlled Ypiringa and Luverdense but never received a promotion there at Luverdense,[2] his good works however gave him a chance to work with the São Paulo football Association in 2013 where he signed with Mogi Mirim.[3] After a good work at Mogi Mirim, he moved on to Parana Clube. At the end of 2013, he was the new manager of Coritiba for the 2014 season.
