Danny Yeo (Chinese: 杨君伟; pinyin: Yáng Jūn Wěi) is a Singaporean host, theater, writer and lecturer. He has over a decade of experience in hosting TV, former radio DJ, and writing the books to publish about his favourite topics like culture, youth and psychology, also a goodwill ambassador of world vision in Singapore. In the year 2010, he have nominated the theater awards as best director in The Straits Times newspaper broadsheet.[1]

Early life

Danny Yeo when was young attended in primary school, Chinese educated parent were encourage him to be interest in Chinese culture and language, while he studied in both Chinese and English language have became a good bilingual speaker.[2] Mother had very strict of discipline to him when was young, after he attended to secondary school and junior college, he get independent by himself for studying on his own chosen, he had also educated about science topic at National University of Singapore and had make the decision to pursue a mass communications degree in the United States. Danny Yeo marital status is single, and has 1 young brother of sibling who have been married.[3]

Career

In the 1990's to early noughties, he has hosted in the morning drive-time show music on Mediacorp's 93.3FM Mandarin radio station and certain variety shows on Mediacorp Channel 8. From the year 2001 to 2004, he had crossover to SPH MediaWorks and helped to operate 2 television channels, which is Mediacorp Channel U and Channel i (now is Okto), also hosted UFM100.3 Mandarin radio station until the end of 2004 both media station have decision to merge into one broadcasting company. He then taught at institutions such as Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Management University, after he returning back in regular TV spots on the year 2015 at Channel U to host the popular talk show "Face Off!", and a documentary about child labour "Innocence Lost".[4] Danny Yeo have won the founder of Pure Talents award for his years of rich experience in various fields, top 20 male artiste star awards, and the most creative DJ Golden Mike awards in year 2000. In 2004, Singapore Media Academy was twice honor him the Ngee Ann Polytechnic academic award for his excellence in teaching.[5]
