History

The team was founded in 1931.

Francavilla was playing in lower categories until it achieved promotion to Promozione in 1993-94 and the next year was repechange to Eccellenza Basilicata.

Francavilla was promoted to Serie D after winning Eccellenza Basilicata in 2004-05 season.

Currently the team will play for the 9th consecutive years in Serie D after the 10th place in the 2012-13 season.
