Fallen is an upcoming British/Australian/American romantic fantasy film directed by Scott Hicks, based on the novel of same name by Lauren Kate. The film stars Addison Timlin, Jeremy Irvine, Harrison Gilbertson, and Joely Richardson.[2] The film was originally set to be released in fall 2015, however it has been confirmed by Lauren Kate that it will be released in September 2016.
Plot
Lucinda Price is sent to a reform academy under the assumption that she has killed a boy. There she meets two mysterious boys, Daniel and Cameron, to both of whom she feels drawn. But as the love triangle unfurls, it is Daniel that Luce cannot keep herself away from, and things begin to take a darker turn when she finds out his true identity.

Production
In August, 2013, it was revealed that Addison Timlin and Jeremy Irvine had been cast as Lucinda Price and Daniel Grigori.[2] Filming began on February, 2014 in Budapest, Hungary.[3] The location for the Sword and Cross academy is the Tura Castle. And the location for the library of Sword and Cross is Wenckheim-kastély_(Szabadkígyós). [4]
Sequels
In December 2014, it was announced that the production of the sequel Torment has already begun.[1] It is unknown whether the last two novels, Passion and Rapture, and the spin-off novel, Fallen in Love, will be adapted as well.
