The Fallen Timbers Battlefield was the site of the Battle of Fallen Timbers on 20 August 1794.

The site was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1960.[2]

This photo is of the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Memorial Site, whose centerpiece is the Battle of Fallen Timbers Monument. The memorial site was originally believed to have been near the actual battlefield below, on the river floodplain. It has since been discovered that the battlefield is actually above the floodplain, just northeast of the memorial on the opposite side of US-24. The newly-discovered site was designated along with the memorial site and the site of Fort Miamis as Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis National Historic Site in 1999. The site is an affiliated unit of the National Park System, managed by Toledo Metroparks in cooperation with the Ohio Historical Society.

In 1975, interpretative information at the site was very limited.[3] The newly-discovered battlefield is not open to the public.
