Fifty Shades is an American erotic romantic drama film series based on the Fifty Shades novel series written by British author E. L. James. The first film Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the novel of same name, was scripted by Kelly Marcel and directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, grossed over $571 million with a budget of $40 million. Its sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are currently filming back-to-back for 2017 and 2018 releases, respectively.

Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)
The first film in the series, Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the novel of same name, was scripted by Kelly Marcel and directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, grossed over $571 million with a budget of $40 million.[1]
Fifty Shades Darker (2017)
The second film, Fifty Shades Darker is currently filming in Vancouver, which James Foley is directing from a script by Niall Leonard. It is scheduled to be released on February 10, 2017.[2][3]
Fifty Shades Freed (2018)
The third film, Fifty Shades Freed is also filming back-to-back along with Fifty Shades Darker, which is also being directed by Foley on the script by Leonard. It is scheduled to be released on February 9, 2018.[2][3]
