Fumio Ueda (上田 文雄 Ueda Fumio?, born June 11, 1948) is the mayor of Sapporo capital city of Hokkaido in Japan. A native of Makubetsu, Hokkaido and 1972 graduate of Chuo University, he was first elected in 2003 after an unsuccessful run in the same year prior to being elected.
He has made speeches at the gay parade in Sapporo from 2003 to present.[1]
