George "Boogie" Preston Ambler[2] (born March 8, 1950 in Alderson, West Virginia) is an American politician and a Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates representing District 42 since January 12, 2013.

Education

Ambler earned his BS from Bluefield State College.

Elections

  • 2012 Ambler ran in the three-way May 8, 2012 Republican Primary and placed second with 792 votes (26.2%),[3] and placed second in the four-way two-position November 6, 2012 General election with 5,556 votes (23.2%) behind incumbent Republican Representative Ray Canterbury (who had been redistricted from District 28) and ahead of Democratic nominees Steve Hunter (who had run in 2000 and 2002) and Glenn Singer.[4]
