George Green's School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form, located in Cubitt Town, on the Isle of Dogs in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, England.[1]
The school was founded in the 19th Century by George Green, a shipbuilder and shipwright. A maritime connection with the school has been maintained since then, and today it is a voluntary controlled school supported by the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights.[2] It has a comprehensive intake of pupils, and is administered by Tower Hamlets London Borough Council.
George Green's School offers GCSEs and vocational courses as programmes of study for pupils,[3] while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels[4] and the IB Diploma Programme.[5]
