Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage is an upcoming American sitcom television series created by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland for CBS. The third television series in the The Big Bang Theory franchise and a direct spin-off of the coming-of-age sitcom Young Sheldon, the series focuses on the marriage of young parents George "Georgie" Cooper Jr. (Montana Jordan) and Amanda "Mandy" McAllister (Emily Osment). The series is set to premiere in the fall of 2024 on CBS.

Production

Development

In January 2024, it was announced that a spinoff of Young Sheldon was in development at CBS.[1] In March 2024, it was announced that CBS had greenlit the Young Sheldon spinoff.

The spin-off focuses on the characters of young married parents Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) and his wife Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment) "navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage."[2] It was also announced that co-creators Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Steve Holland would be writing and executive producing the spinoff.[2][1] In May 2024, the title of the series, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, was announced, and the series would premiere in the fall of 2024 on CBS.[3][4]

Production companies involved with the series are Lorre's Chuck Lorre Productions and Warner Bros. Television Studios.[2]

Casting

In March 2024, it was announced that Montana Jordan and Emily Osment are set to reprise their characters, George "Georgie" Cooper Jr. and Amanda "Mandy" McAllister, from Young Sheldon.[2] In May 2024, it was reported that Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones are to reprise their roles as Mandy's parents as series regulars.[5]
