Georgina de Albuquerque

Lua error in Module:Infobox at line 235: malformed pattern (missing ']'). Georgina Moura Andrade de Albuquerque (b. Taubaté, São Paulo 1885 - d. Rio de Janeiro, 1962) was an Impressionist painter in Brazil.

She was known for her interest in female subjects. Her husband Lucílio was a noted painter in his own right and the two are strongly associated with each other.[1]

Training

de Albuquerque began her artistic training at the Colegio de Bom-Conselho in her native Taubaté.[2] In 1904, she began studying under Henrique Bernardelli at the National School of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro and later moved to Paris to study under Henri Royer at the Académie Julian.[2] She finished her training at the School of Fine Arts in Paris.[2]
