Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
The Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act is a piece of Canadian federal legislation. It was passed as Bill C-74 of the First Session, Forty-second Parliament[1] by the government of Justin Trudeau, and enacted on 21 June 2018.[2] Although the term ‘carbon pricing’ is often used, the aim of the legislation is to put a price (on) all greenhouse gases that play a significant role in trapping heat in the atmosphere. It was intended to be binding on the federal and all of the provinces and territories of Canada.[3]
