Grzegorz Proksa (born 23 November 1984) is a Polish professional boxer.[1] He is a two-time former European middleweight champion and a world title challenger.

Professional career

Proksa began his career on March 5, 2005 with a first round stoppage over Adam Capo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Proksa would win his next 25 bouts (including a third round stoppage over former middleweight champion Sebastian Sylvester before dropping a majority decision to British journeyman Kerry Hope. Proksa avenged the loss via eighth round knockout.

Proksa vs. Golovkin

On September 1, 2012, Proksa would face feared middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin for the WBA and IBO titles. The bout was brutally one-sided in Golovkin's favor, with Proksa being knocked down in the first, fourth, and fifth rounds en route to a fifth round stoppage.

Proksa would win his next bout against lightly regarded Norbert Szekeres before dropping two consecutive losses to middleweight contenders Sergio Mora and Maciej Sulecki.
