"Hey Little One", a song written by Dorsey Burnette and Barry De Vorzon, was released on May 2, 1960 by Era. The record "Hey Little One"/"Big Rock Candy Mountain" (Era 3019) was sung by Dorsey and it reached No. 48 in the Hot 100. The band on the recording included veteran session drummer Earl Palmer.[1]

Glen Campbell version

It was re-recorded by American country music artist Glen Campbell. It was re-released in January 1968 as the second single from his album By the Time I Get to Phoenix. The song peaked at number 13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.[2] It also reached number 6 on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada.
