Hooper is an unincorporated community in Whitman County, Washington, United States.

History

Hooper was named around 1883 for early settler Albert J. Hooper.[1]

Hooper is a tiny company town that was built by the McGregor Company in hopes that it would become a city built on the sheep-raising industry. The McGregor Company is now 125 years old.

Geography

The community is located in the Palouse Region, which is known for its rolling hills and wheat production.
