I Prevail is an American post-hardcore band formed in Southfield, Michigan established in 2013. They released their debut EP "Heart Vs. Mind" in 2014. They gained popularity after posting a cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" to YouTube in December 2014.

History

Formation, Heart Vs. Mind EP (2014-present)

I Prevail was formed on October 13 2013. Shortly after, the band began working on their first album. On December 1, 2014, the band posted a cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" to YouTube. It almost instantly gained attention and peaked at #90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #23 on US Mainstream Rock Songs chart. As of February 2016, the song has reached over 20 million YouTube views.[1] It also gets heavy air play on 89X. On December 10, 2014 the band released the first two singles from their upcoming EP, "Love, Lust, and Liars" and "The Enemy".[2][3] The band released their debut EP, "Heart Vs. Mind" on January 26, 2015.[4] On March 12, 2015 rhythm guitarist Jordan Berger left the band after being unable to commit to the band.[5] The band added touring members Tony Camposeo on bass and Dylan Bowman on rhythm guitar. The band embarked on an early 2015 tour and on June 24, 2015 they announced a summer tour called The Crossroads tour.[6] The band will open for Crown the Empire and Hollywood Undead in fall of 2015 and play select shows, as well as opening for Pop Evil in December.[7]
