International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (Bengali: আন্তর্জাতিক কৃষি ব্যবসায় এবং প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) or (IUBAT) is the non government university located in Bangladesh. It is the first private university in Bangladesh and was established in 1992 under the Private University Act 1992.[1] The university started its Degree programs in 1992 with the agreement of Assumption University of Bangkok, Thailand. IUBAT leads by the University Grants Commission Bangladesh. The university is also a full member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London.[2]

Colleges and centers of IUBAT

IUBAT has six colleges:[3]

  • College of Business Administration (CBA): CBA has been accepted as a Member of Graduate Management Admission Council of USA[2]
  • College of Agricultural Science (CAS)
  • College of Engineering And Technology (CEAT)
  • College of Nursing (CN)
  • College of Arts and Sciences (CAAS)
  • College of Tourism and Hospitality Management

and nine centers:

  • Center for Global Environment Culture (CGEC)
  • Center for Policy Research (CPR)
  • Center for Management Development (CMD)
  • Computer Education and Training Center (CETC)
  • Center for Technology Research and Consultancy (CTRTC)
  • Center for Counseling and Guidance (CCG)
  • South Asian Disaster Management Center (SADMC)
  • Health and Population Center (HPC)
  • English Language Center (ELC)

Accreditation

IUBAT has signed articulation agreements with 30 institutions in the USA, Canada, England, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Thailand and Australia.

Agreements

The university has an articulation agreement with Indiana Purdue University, Indiana and College of Agriculture of the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, USA. IUBAT offers the 2 years course work under both Purdue University and University of Florida.
