Larry E. Travis (born August 5, 1929 in Imperial, Nebraska, USA) is a Professor Emeritus at the Department of Computer Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States. He had a faculty position at the University of Wisconsin as early as 1964 (two years before his Ph.D.) until 1994. He got his Ph.D. from University of California, Los Angeles in 1966, with a dissertation titled as: A Logical Analysis of the Concept of Stored Program: A Step Toward a Possible Theory of Rational Learning.
