Leptosiphon pygmaeus (syn. Linanthus pygmaeus) is a species of flowering plant in the phlox family known by the common name pygmy linanthus.
Distribution
It is native to California, including the Sierra Nevada and Channel Islands, and Guadalupe Island off the coast of Baja California. It can be found in open spots in many types of dry habitat, from mountains to valleys to deserts.
Description
It is a petite annual herb just a few centimeters high, with tiny threadlike leaves. The inflorescence is an open array of minute white to blue flowers just a few millimeters wide.
