Neal Peters McCurn (April 6, 1926 – September 7, 2014) was an American jurist.
Born in Syracuse, New York, McCurn went to LaSalle Military Academy and then joined the United States Maritime Service serving from 1944 to 1946. He then graduated from Syracuse University with an A.B. in 1950 and Syracuse University College of Law with an LL.B. in 1952.
McCurn served on the Syracuse Common Council from 1968 to 1979 and was the president of the common council. He was nominated to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York by President Jimmy Carter on September 28, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629, confirmed by the United States Senate on October 31, 1979, and received his commission on November 2, 1979. He served as chief judge from 1988 to 1993 and assumed senior status on April 6, 1993. He died on September 7, 2014, in Syracuse, at 88 years of age.[1]
