Nebojša Marinković (Serbian Cyrillic: Небојша Маринковић; born 19 June 1986) is a Serbian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for A-League club Perth Glory. Marinkovic is known for his free kick ability and scored many free kicks for Perth Glory last season. He is the older brother of Nenad Marinković.

Club career

Early career

Marinković made his first football steps in his hometown club Timočanin. He later joined the youth system of Partizan, becoming a part of their promising generation, along with Borko Veselinović, Milan Smiljanić and Stefan Babović, that won numerous youth tournaments.[2]

Partizan

Marinković made his competitive debut for Partizan's first team in the second half of the 2003–04 season, playing at the same time for their farm team Teleoptik. He signed his first professional contract for the club in June 2004, without making any appearance in the 2004–05 season. Marinković got some playing time in the first part of the 2005–06 season, scoring four goals in seven official appearances. However, he was sent on a six-month loan to Voždovac in January 2006.

After returning to Partizan from a successful loan spell, Marinković became a regular member of the starting eleven, finishing the 2006–07 season as the club's top scorer with 14 goals in all competitions.

Later career

In the 2010 winter transfer window, Marinković moved to Israel by signing with Maccabi Petah Tikva. He then spent four years in the country, also playing for Hapoel Acre and Hapoel Haifa.

On 20 January 2014, Marinković signed with Perth Glory until the end of the 2014–15 season.[3] He scored his first goal for the club in a 2–1 win over Newcastle Jets on 30 March 2014.

International career

Marinković represented his country at all youth levels from Under-17 to Under-21. He scored two goals at the 2005 UEFA Under-19 Championship.
