The northwestern fat mouse (Steatomys caurinus) is a species of rodent in the family Nesomyidae. It is found in Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Togo. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
