The Olympus PEN E-PL7 is a rangefinder-styled digital mirrorless interchangeable lens camera announced by Olympus Corp. on August 28, 2014. It succeeds the Olympus PEN E-PL6. About the autofocus, Olympus writes in its press release announcing the camera uses "Olympus’s fastest-ever AF system and [...] 81 [autofocus] points that cover the whole image."[1] This speed claim follows similar assertions made by other manufacturers for their recent mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, including Sony[2] and Fujifilm.[3]

Imaging Resource says that Olympus PEN E-PL7 can give good performances in indoor sport action with its RAW and JPEG and can take continuous fast Autofocus, fast speed to freeze with moderate/high ISO with low noise and has moderate zoom with totally price is less than $1,000 for all the capabilities which the other cameras should pay more than $1,000.[4]
