The Pasig River Expressway (PAREX) is a proposed expressway in Metro Manila, Philippines that will skirt the banks of the Pasig River and connect the City of Manila with the province of Rizal. The expressway is being planned to decongest traffic and to cure the pollution of the Pasig River.

Proposal

The expressway is planned as a viaduct over the Pasig River and the Laguna de Bay, and a network of bridges similar to the proposed Metro Manila Skybridge. The expressway will have three segments and 2-6 lane viaducts and bridges. The overall length of the expressway will be 19.86 km, including ramps and 15.22 km, excluding ramps.

Exits and intersections

The expressway is planned to have seven exits. The expressway will start from EDSA (or C-5 Road) and will skirt the Fort Bonifacio North Gate, before entering Rizal Province. There will be 3 segments.

List of proposed exits

The expressway can either be an extension of Kalayaan Avenue or J.P. Rizal Avenue, both in Makati, as their routes can both be rerouted to the route of the proposed expressway. Kalayaan Avenue, however, has more important intersections and ends already near the borders of Rizal and Manila, while J.P. Rizal Avenue (R-4) already has many interchanges along its path.

Phase 1

TBA	Guadalupe Exit	Parclo	Currently the proposed terminus of the expressway, in the present, is the intersection of EDSA and the J.P. Rizal Avenue. Exits connected to Guadalupe.
TBA	Kalayaan Avenue Exit	Ramps and flyovers	This is an exit toward EDSA. NB goes to Mandaluyong and Quezon City and southbound goes to Pasay. This is currently an interchange of EDSA and Kalayaan Avenue.
TBA	Fort Bonifacio Toll Plaza		Will be the only toll plaza in the expressway.
TBA	Fort Bonifacio Exit	TBA	This exit leads to the McKinley Road (or Sales Road) and goes to Bonifacio Global City in Taguig and the NAIA terminal in Pasay.
TBA	Pasig Exit	currently a bridge ramp	This exit leads to the C-5 Road. Northbound goes to Marikina and Pasig and southbound goes to Taguig and Pasay.
TBA	Carlos P. Garcia Elevated U-Turn Ramps	Elevated U-Turns	This exit leads to the C-5 Road. Northbound goes to Marikina and Pasig and SB goes to Taguig and Pasay.

Phase 2

Phase 3

Project

The expressway currently is neither approved nor paid yet, but someday, if ever it will be approved, it will cost approximately 208 million pesos. The expressway is believed to give more benefits, like the cheaper cleanup and pollution prevention to the then polluted Pasig River.
