Pat Freeman is a 2008 candidate in the Republican Primary for Florida House of Representatives seat for District 21, which includes all of Putnam County and parts of Bradford, Clay, Lake, Marion, and Volusia counties. She resides in Palatka, Florida and works as the administrator of the Palatka Health Care Center, one of the largest employers in Putnam County. She has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry and also maintains affiliations with the Rotary Club of Palatka and the Florida Association of Homes for the Aging. She is a registered nurse with a degree from St. Joseph's College in Health Care Administration. She is widowed and has two children and five grandchildren.

Politically, Freeman has stated that she is a conservative Republican. She believes that the top priorities for the state of Florida are the economy, growth management, and water issues. She pledges to vote for measures that promote small government, business, and agriculture.

Her opponents in the primary are attorney Christopher France and the reverend Charles van Zant.
