Raj Kiran Mahtani (born 19 June 1959) is a Bollywood actor.[1] Born in a Sindhi family in Mumbai, he started his career in the mid 1970s, and went to work in around 100 films, Karz, Begunah, Basera, Maan Abhiman and Arth were some of his most memorable movies.

Personal life

He disappeared from the industry and was thought to be living as a recluse in America for many years. Actor Rishi Kapoor reportedly found him in Atlanta in an asylum [2] where he is living due to a mental illness.[3][4]

In 2011, his daughter issued a public statement negating the reports of Raj Kiran being found in Atlanta. She and her family have been looking for him with the assistance of New York police and private detectives for the last eight years.[5] One of his last appearances was in the TV serial Reporter with Shekhar Suman in 1994.
