Ravinuthala is a village in Prakasam District in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It has around 2,000 houses with more than 7,280 people (3,630 male and 3,650 female).And it is Major Panchyath in it's Mandal Korisapadu.

People distribution

Ravinuthala contains people with different castes. Families having surname Ravinuthala are also residing in Porumamilla village(town) in Cuddapah district. They are Badaganadu Niyogi Bramhnins. Ravinuthala Kodandarama Rao was the Karanam of Porumamilla village. One of the Ravinuthala family members was adopted into the Lingaraju family in Edamakallu village in Prakasam district.

Religious distribution

It has nice ancient temples of Shiva and Chennakesava Swamy Temple established in 1200 A.D which are restored. Apart from that there is Ganga, Durga temples and Poleramma temple is there and recently Sai Baba temple is also established. Brahmam Gari temple is also there and was established during the 1950s.

Sports

  1. Cricket : Almost everyone knows in state, The RSCA(Ravinuthala Sports And Cultural Association) Team conducting every year Cricket Tournaments with high standards on the occasion of Sankranthi festival. This association was registered in 1990 and everyone in the village will do their active participation. There was a mini Stadium which would be the venue for this tournament.

2013 Cup was 21st tournament conducted by the Ravinuthala RSCA Team (this has taken second place in the State after the Badradri Cup). And more like Volleyball tournament, chess Competitions, shuttle Competitions for children and Cultural games like bull racing.And at end of day,The village will celebrate and resounded with cultural programs like dramas,Dance programs, Musical Nights in every street and every corner of village.
