Rodrigo Ābols (born January 5, 1996) is a Latvian junior professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL. He is the son of former Latvian ice hockey player and current Toljati Lada head coach Artis Ābols.

Playing career
Ābols began playing in minor and junior hockey in Sweden when his father played there. He joined Dinamo Riga junior club, HK Riga of MHL in 2013–14 season after he was drafted 143rd overall in the KHL Junior Draft by the club. He then played his first senior game for Dinamo Riga in the Kontinental Hockey League, coached by his father, on 27 December 2014 in a OT loss against rivals Dinamo Minsk.[1] In January 2015 Ābols registered his first KHL point with assist on a win against Torpedo and scored his first goal against on win against Severstal Cherepovets.
International play
Ābols participated at the 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships as a member of the Latvian national junior team. He made his senior international debut at the 2015 IIHF World Championships in Prague.
