Savorêt dialect
Savorêt is a dialect of Arpitan spoken by the inhabitants of Valromey, Chautagne, and Chevillard, a commune in the Ain Departments of France in the Bugey.
This language is similar to Savoyard, particularly in geographical designations. However, there are important differences. It is spoken in the southeast of France, between Lyon and Geneva. It has many of the characteristics of a dialect, with different forms from village to village, but mutually comprehensible.
Today, it is often mixed with French, but also has forms that have no correspondence with any French word, such as triguigner or enrager, which means to do in certain cases.
