The State Property Issues Committee of Azerbaijan Republic (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Respublikasının Əmlak Məsələləri Dövlət Komitəsi) is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulation of property issues and policies in Azerbaijan Republic. The ministry is headed by Karam Hasanov.

History

The committee was established on May 19, 2009 by the Presidential Decree on the basis of the existing State Property Management Committee, to improve and facilitate privatization procedures for state owned properties. The statute of the committee was approved on June 24, 2009.[1]

Structure

The committee is headed by its Chairman aided by two deputees and Head of Administration. [2] Main functions of the committee are management of state property, its privatization, attracting external investment; conducting activities to increase effectiveness of state properties within and outside of the Azerbaijan Republic; maintaining inventories of state property and their registrations; holding events to promote privatization of cretina state properties auctioned for sale; provision of support for their further activities to state properties which were privatized; appraisals, assessment and pricing of real estate including personal properties and business buildings.[1]
